Public Enemy Adds AMU To Their S.A Tour

Johannesburg – Hiphop artist Amu will be joining the legendary Public Enemy as a special guest on the Johannesburg leg of their Bring The Noize Tour to South Africa.

Amu, also known as Amu’Nishn, is one of the originators of SA rap at the turn of the century. 2003 saw the release of his first Solo album: The Rap, Life and Drama which was self produced stamping his footprint in the industry as a producer. Amu continued to produce for the likes of Skwatta Kamp, HHP, Mr. Selwyn, Unathi, Zola and even landed his production on the Oscar Award Winning Movie Tsotsi.

With his latest album The Principal, Amu is putting himself out there like never before exploring everything from life, love, social issues including politics – the perfect complement to the legends Public Enemy in concert.

“It’s incredible for me as a PE fan and hiphop artist to be a part of the shows. I’m looking forward to giving an equally impressive performance“ said Amu.

Coincidentally, the opening track on his new album features a Public Enemy sample.

Public Enemy, known as the Godfathers of global hip-hop and pioneers of the genre, are excited to begin their SA tour.  With an original line up including Chuck D, Flavour Flav, and the Security of The First World, the group will not only rock 4 nights in concert but they will also hold industry workshops to impart their 25 years’ experience on the world of SA hip-hop.

Groundbreaking albums such as “Yo! Bum Rush The Show” & “It Takes A Nation Of Millions.” stand as true classics and Public Enemy are still regarded as the most important band in hip-hop today.
